AddictingGames energy, GameSpot depth

Idle Index is a directory and review site for idle and incremental games — the genre where numbers go up while you sleep. The engine is the index: every game we can find, with clean facts (platforms, style, status, offline capability) and honest links.

Layered on top: editorial — reviews and deep dives on how these games work, the culture around them (prestige maths, the psychology of waiting, spreadsheet-and-gantt-chart play), and the creators — the YouTubers and streamers who turned watching numbers go up into a spectator sport.

Where the facts come from

The factual baseline is seeded from the r/incremental_games community wiki ("Ultimate List of Incremental Games") and credit is given: those tables are the work of the subreddit's moderators and contributors. Editorial verdicts, tags and enriched write-ups are ours, and every game page links back out to play the game or read its source.
