Conspiracy Clicker
Run a conspiracy org across industry, media and politics until the New World Order is your org chart.
by Luke Nickerson (Deathray Games) · 2014 · Web
Conspiracy Clicker is Deathray Games' 2014 miniLD clicker about running a conspiracy organisation: push influence through three factions, industry, media and politics, until the New World Order stops being a newsletter and becomes your org chart. Luke Nickerson built it in the same jam spirit as his Cosmiccom, and the idle-js-games preservation collective keeps it playable.
What the loop feels like
You click a faction, the faction spreads influence, and influence buys a bigger conspiracy. The satire is structural rather than decorative: the game asks you to run the machine the newsletters only talk about, one department at a time. That's Conspiracy Clicker.
Industry funds media, media sways politics, politics protects industry, and the triangle of your empire is the whole game. The factions are interlocking by design, so neglecting one eventually starves the other two, which is both the strategy and the joke. That's Conspiracy Clicker.

The systems doing the work
The documented systems are active clicking, idle progression, automation and a resource economy of influence across the three-faction triangle. It is a jam game with real structure: a clear win condition in the New World Order, a compact faction economy, and art direction, the all-seeing-eye header, the octopus banner, a faction icon for each arm, that most jam clickers never bothered with.
Where it stumbles
It is a jam game and plays like one: the depth runs out once the triangle is balanced, the pacing is short by modern standards, and the presentation is functional rather than polished. Distribution also depends on preservation: the developer's own play page is dead, verified, so the community host is canonical and the game lives at the collective's pleasure.
Playing it today
Live at idle-js-games, verified, open source on GitHub. For the same developer's other work, Cosmiccom shares the jam DNA, and for the same-era preservation story, CivClicker's community continuation is the genre's other rescue job.
The verdict
A sharp little satirical clicker with real structure: three interlocking factions, a clear win condition, and the best octopus banner art in the genre. From the Cosmiccom developer's jam catalogue, and still free.
