Art Inc. - Collection Clicker
Bid on the Mona Lisa, curate the trendiest museum on Earth, and let visitors fund the next bid war.
by Pixio · 26 Apr 2019 · iOS
The art world runs on money, reputation and lobbies, and Art Inc. keeps all three. Pixio's free collection clicker launched in April 2019 with a fantasy nobody else in the genre had claimed: you run a museum, you bid at auctions against rival collectors for actual famous works, and the visitors donate. The roster is cheerfully shameless, from Van Gogh and Da Vinci to UFOs and dinosaur fossils.
What the loop feels like
Your gallery hums. Exhibits pull in visitors, visitors leave donations of cash, diamonds and gold, and a tap speeds the whole crowd along. An auction notice lands, you enter a live bidding skirmish against rival collectors, and a famous piece, a Van Gogh here, a dinosaur fossil there, rides home to a new wing. That's Art Inc.
The rest is curation. Public taste shifts, so rotating your displayed floors to match the current trend multiplies cash flow, while explorers you hire dispatch on worldwide expeditions and come back dragging new artifacts. The gallery grows wings, the collection tops two hundred pieces, and the auctions get billionaire-priced. That's Art Inc.
How it actually works
The documented systems come largely from the community wiki. Idle and tap income anchor the economy: exhibits generate passive revenue and tapping accelerates visitors or earnings. Auction bidding is a live minigame against rival collectors for pieces ranging from classics to oddities. The trend system fluctuates exhibit popularity, rewarding players who rotate displays to match active public taste. Staffing adds hired characters and explorers who run automated expeditions for rare artifacts, and progression runs through gallery expansion, per-artifact upgrades that permanently raise baseline revenue, and fame levels that unlock higher-tier auctions and elite clientele.
Where it stumbles
Honest disclosure: our research pass produced solid documentation of the mechanics but failed to retrieve a usable community-criticism record, so this section leans on the genre's well-known contours rather than a verified consensus, and we flag that openly. As a 2019 free-to-play idle, it follows the standard pattern of ads and in-app purchases woven into progression, and the loop of bid, display, rotate, repeat is built for short bursts rather than long study. The wiki remains the only substantial community record, which itself says something about how deep the meta goes.

For collecting with a different skin, our Tap Tap Fish entry curates an aquarium instead of a museum, and AdVenture Capitalist remains the reference loop.
The verdict
A charming museum idle with a real trend-chasing twist on the collection formula. The bidding wars and curation carry it; the long-game depth is undocumented, and we would rather say so than guess.
