CivCrafter
Build a civilization, raid your neighbours: Naquatic's 2014 mobile civ-idle with clan PvP.
by Naquatic LLC · 2014 · iOS / Android
CivCrafter is Naquatic's 2014 mobile civilization idle: gather skins, ore, herbs, leather and metal, build your civ up through the ages, and, the part that made it land, raid other players' civilisations with your clan. TouchArcade named it Game of the Week in April 2015, and the stores still carry it.
What the loop feels like
You tap resources, workers automate the gathering, and the surplus funds buildings. The five-resource economy gives the tapping just enough shape to feel like planning rather than grinding. That's CivCrafter.
Then your clan musters. Raids target other players' civilisations, trophies change hands, and the leaderboard becomes the endgame, which is what separated this from the single-player pack in 2014 and still does. That's CivCrafter.

The systems doing the work
The named systems are active tapping for resources, worker automation as the idle layer, a building-and-ages progression spine, and the clan PvP raid structure on top. A note for archaeologists: the Android package is com.naquatic.civclicker, a naming fossil from its working title, and the game was last updated in mid-2023, so it is maintained rather than developed.

Where it stumbles
It is a 2014 free-to-play mobile game wearing 2014 free-to-play economics: timers, in-app purchases, and progression walls of the era's standard gradient. The single-player half is thin once the buildings run out, and the raid meta depends on a player population that a decade-old game no longer commands at its old scale. Ageing is the honest one-word review.
Playing it today
Live on both stores: iOS and Android, both verified in this rewrite. If the civ-building loop appeals without the raids, CivClicker remains the browser ancestor this genre descends from.
The verdict
A solid early mobile civ-idle whose clan raiding gave it legs most single-player clickers never grew. Ageing but alive, and the PvP layer still distinguishes it from the pack.
