Critter Clicker
A free, gentle farm incremental whose best idea is a built-in, free autoclicker, because wrist pain is real.

Somewhere out there is a free farming clicker whose most radical design decision is shipping its own autoclicker: free, built in, day one, because, in TimeWastingGames's own words on the store page, they don't like wrist pain either. Critter Clicker, from October 2020, is a casual farming incremental whose whole personality lives in that one gesture of decency.
What the loop feels like
You click a critter and it produces, and the production upgrades the critter, which produces more when clicked, while the built-in autoclicker quietly does the tedious half for you. That's Critter Clicker.
Then the infrastructure takes over: a mill turns wheat into bread, bread becomes gold without you, smithies multiply production, and horse tracks speed the farmhands up. When the farmhouse upgrade is ready you sell the whole farm for a permanent multiplier and start from an empty field that fills twice as fast, on your schedule, not a timer's. That's Critter Clicker.

The systems doing the work
The named systems are the critters themselves, whose outputs re-trigger whenever your production structures complete work, so building investment and critter investment compound rather than compete; the infrastructure chain of mills, smithies and horse tracks; the farm sale reset, a prestige you can trigger whenever you want, trading current progress for permanent multipliers; exponential upgrade scaling across click power, critter output and building multipliers; lifetime gold milestones that pay passive global bonuses across resets; and offline progress capped at twenty-four hours. Monetisation stays clean: optional purchases only, no energy meters, no forced ads, no login streaks.
Where it stumbles
The reviews are honest about it: this is baby's first clicker. Strategic depth is thin, the music loops early, and against the genre's heavyweights its content is measured in an evening or two rather than months. Older builds had broken plot tiles and confirmation prompts that interrupted autoclicker flows, largely patched since. Achievement hunters get nothing because the game ships without Steam achievements, and its community reception is mixed-to-casual: a harmless short freebie, not a hidden masterpiece. None of that is disqualifying at the price, but go in expecting a palate cleanser, not a hobby.
Playing it today
It is free on Steam for Windows, single-player. Our iOS and Google Play checks found no listings by TimeWastingGames, so desktop is the verified platform. If the cosy-farm register works for you, Plantera is the bigger ancestor of the form and Tiny Pasture is the modern equivalent with the tab-hygiene twist.
The verdict
A free, gentle, shallow-on-purpose farm clicker whose autoclicker policy more games should copy. Critter Clicker respects your wrists, your wallet and your time, and asks only an evening in return. As a zero-cost break between heavier games it does its job; as a long-term home it runs out of farm.
