DogeMiner
Mine doge, hire helpers, go to the moon: the 2014 Dogecoin parody clicker. Such game.
by rkn · September 2014 · Web
DogeMiner is the Dogecoin parody clicker that 2014 deserved: mine doge, hire helpers, buy the rig, and fly to the moon, in Doge-speak the whole way. rkn's original spawned two sequels, Dogeminer 2: Back 2 the Moon and Dogeminer 3, a host of imitators, and a place in crypto-culture history that the coin's own price chart cannot match.
What the loop feels like
You click the doge, doge accrues, and doge hires a helper shibe. The first helper is a novelty; the fortieth is an economy, and you have stopped clicking because the kennels are clicking for you. That's DogeMiner.
Kennels compound, mining rigs get purchased, and a rocket appears in the buy list, and the moon gets closer at exactly the speed the meme deserves. Every purchase is announced in the comic sans dialect of 2014 crypto optimism, and the game never once winks at you without also meaning it. That's DogeMiner.

The systems doing the work
The named systems are the manual doge mine, your clicking hand as starter engine; the helper ladder, helper shibes and their kennels automating production; the rig purchases that multiply output; and the moonshot itself, the rocket purchase that gives the whole counter a destination rather than an infinity. It is a straightforward single-currency design, and its genius is tonal: where Cookie Clicker built cathedral-deep systems, DogeMiner built a joke with real escalation under it, and in 2014 that was exactly the right size for a browser tab. The community around it, r/dogecoin threads included, treated it as the coin's unofficial mascot, which is more than most parodies ever get to be.
Where it stumbles
The depth ceiling is real: against the deeper web idles of its era it is a shallow curve, and once the moon is reached the incentive structure thins out. Its history is also messy, in the way meme famous things are: the original dogeminer.com domain is now a parked, for-sale page, and finding the real game means knowing the official site moved. As a parody it also ages with its subject, and Dogecoin jokes in 2026 carry a different charge than they did in 2014. None of this touches why it matters, but it does shape how you visit it today.
Playing it today
The official site lives at dogeminer.se, and the game is also playable on CrazyGames. No phone release by the original developer is verified. For the genre's deeper cuts, Cookie Clicker is the sincere ancestor and AdVenture Capitalist scales the same buy-the-business joke to industrial size.
The verdict
The definitive crypto-meme clicker: it out-mined every imitator, the escalation is genuinely well paced, and the moonshot premise aged into actual crypto history. Very game. Much idle. Wow.
