Endless Furry TD - Tower Defense
Endless waves, four targeting modes, online leaderboards, and no win menu: just the climb.
by Tegridy Made Games · 12 Dec, 2023 · Steam
The premise is exactly as subtle as the title: furries march on your base, you slaughter them with towers, and there is no win menu because there is no winning, only a kill count and a leaderboard position. Endless Furry TD, Tegridy Made Games' December 2023 micro-priced tower defense, is a meme-scale game that turns out to be more functional than its packaging suggests.
What the loop feels like
Waves arrive, get stronger, arrive again. Your job is the classic TD triangle: place from an arsenal of over ten base towers, push them down multi-tier upgrade paths, and manage the in-run economy so the next wave funds the defenses that survive it. That's Endless Furry TD - Tower Defense.
Then late game arrives as a screen-filling chaos of thousands of entities, and the game handles it smoothly thanks to heavy GPU instancing and object pooling, while your leaderboard position quietly becomes the only score that matters. That's Endless Furry TD - Tower Defense.

The systems doing the work
Infinite scaling design is the frame: enemy health, speed and spawn density climb forever until your defenses collapse. Targeting logic is the skill layer, with four modes per tower, First, Last, Strongest, Weakest, and mastering the switches is what keeps fast units from slipping past while heavies soak damage; experienced players stagger settings, low-damage towers on cleanup duty and heavy hitters locked on Strongest. Tower arsenal and upgrades give the strategic variety, level unlocks pace the early game, an upgrade store carries semi-permanent progression between runs, and online leaderboards with anti-cheat are the long-term scoreboard. Build overlapping fields of fire rather than spreading out, because endless scaling punishes thin single-target damage.
Where it stumbles
Two caveats matter. First, the endless structure is all there is: no win condition, no final boss, just high-score grinding, which community feedback notes suits players who enjoy that loop and bores everyone else after a decent few hours. Second, and worth knowing before buying: coverage flags that the game's artwork and code are AI-generated, which will be disqualifying for some players on principle. Beyond the philosophy, long high-level runs can crash or freeze and waste progress, towers occasionally bug out and teleport around the map, tooltips barely explain what the guns do, and the upgrade menu closes after every single purchase, which gets tedious across forty towers. The mixed reception reflects all of it; the praise side calls it surprisingly functional progression and harmless fun at under a dollar.
Playing it today
Endless Furry TD is on Steam for Windows, released December 2023 at a micro price with microtransactions costing mere cents. No phone release surfaced in our platform check. For tower defense with longer coattails, the catalogue's War Tortoise and Endless Battle dig deeper.
The verdict
A competent joke: solid TD bones underneath a meme title and AI-made art, priced like a packet of gum. Buy it for a few evenings of leaderboard climbing if neither the premise nor the provenance bothers you.
