Social Idle
Make your profile on a social site and click: denisolenison's 2015 satire, Flash-dead.
by denisolenison · 9 August 2015 · Web (Flash, defunct)
Social Idle is denisolenison's 2015 Flash satire, the incremental where you make your own profile on a social site and click, which is both the gameplay and a review of the decade. The Kongregate page stands at 200 but Flash hosting is dead, the game with it: defunct, on the record, with a 2025 Wayback fallback noted.
What the loop feels like
You post an update, the update earns likes, and the likes earn the next update. That's Social Idle.
Playing it today
Not in a browser, but its record is complete: the six-by-535 logo (hearts and thumbs-up, vision-verified as on-theme) and four Kongregate screenshots above, all with sidecars.
The verdict
A Flash-era satire preserved in screenshots: the social site died with the social game, which is almost too neat.
