Tuna Clicker
TonnoRandagio's fish-tier tuna clicker: gweb.io-hosted, parked now, 23 sprites recovered from Wayback.
by u/tonnorandagio · 2013 · Web (defunct, gweb.io)
Tuna Clicker, titled TonnoRandagio incremental game in its own prime-era page, is u/tonnorandagio's 2013 fish-tier clicker, one of the five irregular joined-text wiki rows this index has tracked since the first capture. Its gweb.io host is parked and for sale now, a 200 that sells the domain rather than the game, and even the 2023 Wayback capture caught the parking page. The game itself lived from December 2013 to around March 2016, per the capture record, and this entry is what survives of it.
What it was
A tuna-economy clicker with the genre's 2013 anatomy: active clicking and idle progression, recorded in the entry's mechanics tags and consistent with the assets. The recovered sprite family tells the story better than any listing: bronze, silver and gold fish in descending tiers, a coin icon for the economy, timed upgrade icons, and achievement art, all pulled from 2015 captures of the live site. The complete UI sprite family came home at about 2.2 megabytes: 23 assets, from the favicon through five bronze, four silver and four gold fish tiers to the timed icons and achievement markers. For a defunct browser game with no text documentation, that sprite shelf is the documentation.
What was lost
Three sprites are permanently unrecoverable, silver3, gold2 and time2, 404ing in every capture ever made, and the loss is recorded rather than papered over. No hero art ever existed: the entry's hero image is one of the recovered sprites, the gold tier fish, because there was no banner to recover. The gaps list says so plainly, which is the entry's whole aesthetic: an honest inventory of 23 finds and 3 documented losses from a game whose own wiki row was so irregular it needed its own class.
The irregular-row story
Tuna Clicker earned its place in catalog history twice. First as one of the five irregular joined-text rows the wiki capture produced, rows whose text ran together in ways that broke standard parsing and required individual verification. Second as the reason a parse ghost exists: the same capture accident that mangled this row's text also spawned a standalone Tuna row, which the catalog keeps as a documented pointer back here. The title itself carries the history: TonnoRandagio, the developer's handle and the game's own name, survived in the page title of the prime-era captures even after the rest of the context dissolved.
Playing it today
You cannot play it. The host is parked, the captures preserve only assets and fragments, and the archived asset trail is the closest visit available. For living fish economies, Fish Clicker and Tap Tap Fish: AbyssRium carry the genre forward.
The verdict
An irregular row turned into the best-sprited defunct entry in the catalog: 23 recovered assets, 3 documented losses, one honest no-hero-art flag. The tuna are gone; the pixels made it.
