Beat Stickman: Infinity Clones

An immortal stick figure made of dark matter and ketchup exists only to be destroyed. You have 28 weapons, a potato-shaped portal device, and questionable priorities.

by Mini Fun Games · 30 Jan, 2019 · Steam (Windows / Mac / Linux)

The Stickman cannot die. It is a creature of dark matter and ketchup, it feels no pain, and the moment you destroy it, the universe reassembles it for another round. Mini Fun Games built an entire clicker around this premise in 2019: you peer through a portal powered by a potato-shaped device and bombard an immortal dummy with an arsenal that escalates from the mundane to the frankly irresponsible. The story mode is played completely straight, which is most of the joke, and the leaderboard-climbing is played completely seriously, which is the rest of it.

Structurally this is a pure damage-per-second clicker with an unusually long comedy runway. Twenty-eight unique weapons unlock across the arc, and the developer's own pitch notes that the last two are very satisfying, which turns the unlock ladder into the game's actual progress bar. Around the clicking sits a Lucky Draw system, collectible hats, achievements and three leaderboards.

What the loop feels like

You click, the Stickman pops, and debris rains down. That's Beat Stickman: Infinity Clones.

You unlock a weapon that inflates the Stickman until physics files a complaint, and the pop efficiency doubles. That's Beat Stickman: Infinity Clones.

You prestige, the multipliers stack, and overnight the game quietly farms debris while you sleep. That's Beat Stickman: Infinity Clones, a game whose entire premise is a torture loop that both parties seem fine with.

The weapon meta, briefly

The veteran playbook is well established. Buy one of each weapon early rather than stacking duplicates, then funnel everything into the scaling tools: the Allergies status effect, pushed hard toward its level-sixty multiplier threshold, and the Inflation weapon, which veteran players favour over raw explosive damage for its roughly double kill efficiency. Combos matter at the top end, with the Clock used to sync timing before long damage-over-time effects like the H-bomb. Level milestones past sixty grant compounding multipliers, and prestige resets trade current progress for permanent scaling. It is a shallow system by genre standards, but it is a system, and the leaderboard crowd has squeezed real optimisation out of it.

Where it stumbles

The Mixed Steam reception is earned. Players consistently describe a mobile-game feel ported to PC, complete with in-app purchases sitting awkwardly inside a paid title, and progression that hits walls only solvable by long idle stretches. The loop is repetitive by design and thin on strategy beyond the weapon meta above, and the leaderboard top end is widely considered unrealistic without automated clicking. The comedy carries the first couple of hours; whether the numbers carry the next ten is a personal tolerance question.

Playing it today

On Steam at a low price, Windows, Mac and Linux, with a developer Discord for the leaderboard crowd. An iOS app with the same name exists but is published by a different company, so treat any mobile listing with suspicion rather than assuming it is the same product.

The verdict

An absurd, occasionally very funny damage clicker that wears out its welcome faster than it should, priced so that curiosity is a reasonable response. Come for the ketchup lore, stay only if the leaderboard bug bites. For clickers with more meat on their bones, Tap Titans and Clicker Heroes remain the genre's reference points, and Stick Clicker Battle is the closest stylistic sibling in the catalogue.
