Cats Clicker
Click the cat, unlock generators, fill a 500-cat gallery: pocket-change idle comfort food.
by RazDva Games · 2 Jun, 2024 · Steam
The cutest game in the world, says the store page, and Cats Clicker makes no further claims. RazDva Games' June 2024 idle is exactly what the label says: click the cat, make money, buy generators and upgrades, unlock hundreds of cats, chase prestige upgrades. Meow.
What the loop feels like
Clicking a feline pays out cash, cash buys generators that pay cash on their own, and the long-term game is a gallery of hundreds of cats to unlock. It is cozy, it is relaxing, and it never once surprises you. Nothing about that arrangement changes from minute one to minute five hundred. That's Cats Clicker.
Prestige upgrades reset your economy for permanent boosts, the gallery fills out one portrait at a time, and the numbers keep doing what numbers do. Hundreds of feline portraits accumulate as milestones, and each one is exactly as deep as a cat picture needs to be. The game promises cat pictures and rising totals, and it delivers both without detour. That's Cats Clicker.

The systems doing the work
Cat-clicking income is the active layer, generator unlocks and upgrade purchases the passive engine, the 500-cat gallery is the collection carrot, and prestige upgrades provide the resets. That is the complete system inventory, and the game is honest about it. Nothing here will stress a spreadsheet, which is both the point and the price.

Where it stumbles
The community read is consistent and mild: the loop is repetitive and shallow, with little mechanical depth beyond watching numbers rise and unlocking cat pictures. Small quality-of-life quirks annoy players, like the game snapping back to fullscreen after prestige resets despite windowed preferences, and the Steam discussion hub is quiet enough that troubleshooting threads are most of what you will find. The harsher reviews call it an asset-flip feel, a low-effort wrapper designed primarily around easy Steam achievement completion, the kind of game that is good for a second monitor or a lazy afternoon and easily beaten and forgotten. To its credit, the tiny review pool leans mostly positive, because at pocket change the game only promises cat pictures and numbers, and it delivers both.
Playing it today
Cats Clicker is on Steam for Windows, released June 2024 at a micro price (A$ 0.70 at our check). No other platform surfaced in our check. Feline idlers with more ambition in this catalogue: Kitty Clicker, Desktop Cat Cafe and The King Cat Clicker.
The verdict
An achievement-hunter's cat album with an idle game attached, sold for less than the price of an actual cat treat. Buy it for the gallery sweep; do not expect the numbers to go anywhere interesting.
