Mining Inc.
Extract, process, transport: keep the whole chain moving and watch the gold turn into gemstones.
by Green Panda Games · 14 Apr 2020 · iOS / Android
Most mining idles sell you a hole in the ground. Mining Inc. sells you a company. Green Panda Games, the studio behind the honey-trap economics of Bee Factory, released this free tycoon in April 2020, and its premise is industrial rather than cartoonish: run the whole mining operation, from the drill face to the refinery to the lorries hauling the output away.
What the loop feels like
Your gold mine feeds a refinery, the refinery feeds the warehouse, and the lorries clear the warehouse. Upgrade the drill and the mine outruns the furnaces; upgrade the furnaces, and the warehouse fills before the lorries clear it. Somewhere in the chain there is always a bottleneck, and finding it is the game. That's Mining Inc.
The long arc is vertical. Coins upgrade extraction power, engine speeds and transport capacity, managers with unique skills slot into specific sectors and bend the math, and prestige ranks hand out unique boosters. New mines unlock under diamonds, rubies and rarer gemstones, and the same three-stage dance restarts with prettier rocks. That's Mining Inc.
How it actually works
The documented spine is a three-stage production pipeline: extraction at the mine face, processing through refineries and furnaces, and transport via dumpers, lorries and warehouses. The stages are interdependent and the economy is equilibrium management, because a bottleneck anywhere stalls income everywhere: a refinery slower than the mine, or a warehouse full before the lorries arrive, seizes the whole engine. Upgrades scale tier by tier across mining power, loading times and transport capacity at exponentially rising costs, and manager assignments apply passive traits like processing speed, automation frequency and output multipliers to specific sectors. Progression is vertical tiering, from the starting gold line up to diamonds, rubies and rare gemstone mines, with prestige ranks granting unique boosters and a quest list gating new content.
Where it stumbles
A disclosure first: our research pass documented the mechanics well but returned a criticism record about a different game entirely, the Roblox cooperative Mining INC: Remastered, so the community-criticism record for this mobile tycoon is thin and we flag that openly rather than borrowing complaints from the wrong game. What follows is genre-level honesty: as a 2020 free-to-play tycoon it follows the familiar pattern of ads and in-app purchases pacing progression, the equilibrium loop simplifies into routine once the upgrade priorities are learned, and long-haul depth beyond the gemstone tiers is thinly documented by any community source we could find.
Playing it today
Free on both stores with in-app purchases and ads, and still positively rated by its audience across thousands of App Store ratings. Get it on the App Store for iOS or on Google Play for Android. For mining idles with a longer paper trail, our Idle Miner Tycoon entry is the genre's established depth, and To The Core drills the same planet on PC.
The verdict
A tidy three-stage mining tycoon whose bottleneck economy gives it more shape than the average timer game. The community record around it is thin, and we would rather say that than invent a consensus.
