Settlement
An RTS-flavored settlement incremental, abandoned for a PHP multiplayer version that never came.
by S. J. Vellenga · 2014 · Web (abandoned)
Settlement is S. J. Vellenga's 2014 browser incremental with RTS blood: manage a settlement, expand it, trade from it, and defend it, at the pace of an incremental. Its own wiki row records the ending: the JS/HTML5 game was abandoned in favor of a planned PHP multiplayer version, and no play link survives on the row. The Almost Idle listing carries the record and three small images.
What it was
A settlement-management incremental with trade and combat systems from the 2014 wave, its death documented by the abandonment note itself. Three portal images above; the candidate original hosts are recorded as unverified after the multi-host probe was consent-blocked, which the research states plainly rather than resolving by guesswork.
The verdict
An abandoned-for-a-rewrite classic: the PHP sequel never came, and the JS original is the whole story.
Disambiguation on record against Settlement Survival and the itch settlement idlers.
