Tap Tap Infinity
A 3D tap-battler with prestige: Scary Bee's abandoned-but-standing iOS idle from 2014.
by Scary Bee, LLC · 14 November 2014 · iOS
Tap Tap Infinity is Scary Bee's 2014 3D tap-battler, one of the first mobile idle games to combine prestige mechanics with actual 3D monsters on screen. You tap monsters to kill them, level up heroes who farm gold in your absence, and chase the fabled Infinity Tokens that power the whole meta: reset with them, then trade them to The Guardians of Infinity for permanent power-ups. It launched on iOS in November 2014, was last updated in January 2017, and remains downloadable on the App Store today, a standing ruin preserved by Apple's indifference to delisting.
The abandoned state matters less than you would think, because the design was complete in miniature. This is a 2014-era idle in the classic mold: heroes, boss monsters, spells, offline progress, and one well-cut prestige loop. It asked for no monthly content and got none, which is exactly why it still works.
What the loop feels like
You tap a monster, the monster bursts into coins, and the coins hire a hero who taps for you. Then a Boss Monster arrives, dies harder, and joins your side for extra damage. That's Tap Tap Infinity.
Hours later the run caps out, you trade your hoarded tokens to The Guardians of Infinity, and the reset makes last week's wall a warm-up. That's Tap Tap Infinity.

How it actually works
Four documented systems interlock. Hero leveling is the economy: each hero farms gold and searches for Infinity Tokens even while the game is closed, thanks to offline progress. Boss Monsters are both gates and recruits, beaten for progression and hired back for extra damage. Spells and hero XP layer active decisions over the tapping. And the prestige loop is the Infinity Tokens themselves: resetting with them and trading them to The Guardians of Infinity buys permanent boosts that make each subsequent run deeper. The presentation is the other headline, with fully 3D monsters and environments at a time when most of the genre was still drawing buttons on a beige page.
Where it stumbles
Time has not been kind in the ways that count. Development stopped at version 1.7.14 in January 2017, so bugs are permanent residents and modern device support depends on Apple's tolerance rather than any maintainer. The community, once the game's own subreddit, has gone quiet. And the depth is 2014 depth: next to the layered artifacts, clans and tournaments the genre grew since, the single prestige loop runs out of surprises for long-haul players. It is a museum piece that still plays, not a living game.
Playing it today
Still downloadable on the App Store for iPhone and iPad, with no Android build ever released and no web version in existence. For the genre's living descendants on the same template, Tap Titans is the era's other landmark with a maintained sequel, and Clicker Heroes took the hero-hiring loop to desktop.
The verdict
An early 3D prestige-idle, abandoned at v1.7.14 and preserved by the App Store's long memory. Tap Tap Infinity is worth an afternoon of archaeology for anyone curious where mobile idle games learned to reset, and worth little more, exactly as its Guardians intended.
