Water Company
Pumps, treatment plants, pipes, and a thirsty city: Dimitar155's open-source Bulgarian water idle.
by Dimitar155 · May 2017 · Web (GitHub Pages)
Water Company is Dimitar155's open-source web incremental about running a municipal water utility: manage pumps, treatment plants, storage and pipes, and sell cold and hot water to a city that keeps growing. It is live in two versions at once: the original v0.3.4.1 Beta (verified 200, vision-checked rendering) and the maintained Recoded v0.4.
What the loop feels like
You dig a pipe, the pipe feeds a district, and the district pays for the treatment plant. That's Water Company.
Playing it today
Free at both GitHub Pages builds and on Kongregate, with a live gameplay capture, the Kong icon and the repo's Bulgaria-made badge above. No hi-res art exists (the game is HTML-table based), and the entry says so rather than dressing up a screenshot.
The verdict
A earnest open-source utility sim with a working rewrite line: municipal water management as an idle, pipes included.
