Bookmark Clicker
A Polish bookmark-themed clicker from 2013, preserved as HTML in the archive.
by unknown (crypton.com.pl) · 2013 · Web (defunct)
Bookmark Clicker is a 2013 Polish browser clicker, hosted on crypton.com.pl and listed by the genre wiki, about clicking bookmarks, presumably, because the game itself no longer exists to ask.
That uncertainty is the whole entry. This is one of the smallest records in the catalogue, kept because the alternative is silence.
What the loop felt like
Almost certainly, you clicked a bookmark-shaped thing, and a counter went up. The early-2010s browser clicker template was rigid: manual clicks harvested the currency, purchases automated the harvest, and the numbers compounded. That's Bookmark Clicker, as far as reconstruction allows.
And then, presumably, the tiers climbed and the game asked for one more click. Also that's Bookmark Clicker, on the same evidentiary basis.
The systems, as far as they can be reconstructed
The uncertainty has a use, though: it is a faithful portrait of how most browser games of that era died. No storefront meant no delisting notice, no community hub meant no obituary thread, and no images meant nothing for the crawlers to prioritise. Bookmark Clicker is not a lesser record because it is thin; it is an honest one because it refuses to invent the rest.
An honesty note governs this section: the game predates its own documentation. No screenshots survive, no guides were written, and our AI research passes could only offer the generic architecture of its era rather than anything specific, so their output was discarded. What can be said with confidence is the template it lived in: active clicking for base income, tiered upgrades boosting per-click power and passive generation, milestone plateaus where costs outpace income, and a stark, functional UI built to browser constraints of 2013. Whether it implemented a prestige layer is simply not recorded.
Where it stumbles
Everything about this entry stumbles by necessity, and the stumble is the point of keeping it. The host domain is dead, verified DNS-dead in this rewrite, the developer's identity is unknown, the wiki row credits only the domain, and the archive captured the page after the game had effectively already vanished from living memory. There is no community, no reception history, and no way to evaluate what the game actually was beyond its title and its country of origin.
Playing it today
You cannot. The Internet Archive's October 2013 capture preserved only the HTML shell: no images, no scripts worth the name, nothing playable. There was no Steam, mobile or downloadable release, so the archive doorframe is all that exists.
The verdict
A historical stub: defunct before screenshots were standard, with no imagery recoverable anywhere. This entry is the record: a wiki row, an archived page shell, and a title. It exists because the genre's history is already full of games that vanished without a trace, and this one at least vanished with its name attached. The archive keeps the doorframe; the house is gone.
