Cat Magic School: Cute Tycoon
Queue the cat students, upgrade the classrooms, and grow a tiny academy into a legendary school of magic.

The magic school genre finally has an enrolment problem, and the enrollees are cats. Cat Magic School : Cute Tycoon arrived in March 2025 from the feline-idle specialists behind Cat Snack Bar and Cat Mart, and casts you as principal of a tiny academy where cat students queue up to become wizards. Your job is the school itself: build the classrooms, hire the teachers, keep the queues moving, and grow the whole thing into a world-renowned institution of magic.
What the loop feels like
Cat students arrive in a line, shuffle into class, learn potions or broomstick flying, and graduate into the world with a tuition payment attached. When the queue clogs, you shorten class durations; when students fail difficult classes, you hire a better teacher; when the campus overflows, you add dormitories and dining halls. That's Cat Magic School.
The side economy is the Cat Snack Bar, where researching soup recipes turns different brews into revenue streams for the student body. Close the app and the school keeps operating, gold accumulating, cats studying. Somewhere on campus there are supposedly secret spaces and little adventures to find. That's Cat Magic School.
How it actually works
The engine is queue-and-throughput management. You construct and upgrade magical classrooms, potions, spellcasting, broomstick flying, and campus infrastructure, and cat students flow through the loop of arriving, queuing, attending, graduating and generating gold. Bottleneck mitigation is the stated skill: long queues and clogged pathways cut revenue, so class durations, teacher quality and building placement all matter. Progression systems include campus expansion into new wings and advanced magical subjects, faculty hiring and levelling that speed teaching and multiply resources, milestone rewards, the Cat Snack Bar with its recipe research, and offline idle operation so the school keeps earning while you are away.
Where it stumbles
The player community is harsher than the store rating suggests. Monetisation draws the loudest complaints: progress feels hard-locked behind ads or gem purchases, with the remove-ads option carrying a price tag that reviewers describe as exorbitant. The idle half underdelivers, with players reporting that critical resources drop inefficiently while away, pushing the game toward active grinding, and the adventure mode leans on punishing RNG with low-rate gear rolls that drain health with little player agency. Battery drain while idling earns its own complaints. The campus is adorable; the till behind it is not.

Free on both stores with in-app purchases and ads, newly released in 2025 and positively rated by its casual audience on a modest review base. Get it on the App Store for iOS or on Google Play for Android. The verdict
A genuinely adorable campus idle whose queue management has real texture, wrapped in some of the more aggressive monetisation the cat-tycoon genre has produced. Pet the cats, eye the checkout.
